Fred Slautterback works with a variety of mediums and art forms. He is recognized for originating and developing a completely new form of abstract art. Using unique processes and materials, he heats and applies molten plastics. He has named this medium and process "Touleen". Watercolors and acrylics are often incorporated within the work. This original form of abstract art is colorful, upbeat and lyrical. The work is frequently assembled into three-dimensional panels and grid arrays. Designs can be scaled to fit small spaces or fill large wall surfaces.
Fred also creates mixed media sculptures in wood and metal.
